Section 45-28-234.09 THIS SECTION WAS ASSIGNED BY THE CODE COMMISSIONER IN THE 2017 REGULAR SESSION, EFFECTIVE JUNE 3, 2015. THIS IS NOT IN THE CURRENT CODE SUPPLEMENT. The personnel director shall keep a register of all persons eligible and available for appointment to each class and position in the service of the county under this part, ranked according to ability. Employees laid off who are subsequently available for reemployment shall be placed at the head of this list for eligible registrants in the inverse order of their terminations. Employees who voluntarily terminate their services may be granted reemployment status only under such circumstances and in such manner as may be provided for in the board's rules and regulations. (a) All persons employed on a full-time basis by Alabama educational television or Alabama public television network, who were employed after January 1, 1981, shall be covered under the state Merit System law and shall be extended all benefits of such system.
