Section 15-5-62 Definitions. For the purposes of this article, the following words shall have
the following meanings: (1) FELONY OFFENSE. Any act that could be charged as a felony criminal
offense under the Code of Alabama 1975, whether or not a formal criminal prosecution or delinquent
proceeding began at the time the forfeiture was initiated. (2) FINANCIAL INSTITUTION. A bank,
credit union, or savings and loan association. (3) INNOCENT OWNER. A bona fide purchaser or
lienholder of property that is subject to forfeiture, including any of the following: a. A
person who has a valid claim, lien, or other interest in the property seized who did not know
or consent to the conduct that caused the property to be forfeited, seized, or abandoned under
subdivision (1) of Section 15-5-63. b. A person who did not participate in the commission
of a crime or delinquent act giving rise to the forfeiture. c. A victim of an alleged criminal

Section 22-52-91 Duty of law enforcement officer, community mental health officer to take into
custody alleged mentally ill persons; detention; admission; hearing. (a) When a law enforcement
officer is confronted by circumstances and has reasonable cause for believing that a person
within the county is mentally ill and also believes that the person is likely to be of immediate
danger to self or others, the law enforcement officer shall contact a community mental health
officer. The community mental health officer shall join the law enforcement officer at the
scene and location of the person to assess conditions and determine if the person needs the
attention, specialized care, and services of a designated mental health facility. If the community

events, including, but not limited to, programs of information and publicity, sporting events,
and other public events to attract tourists and visitors to the county. The tourism board

Section 45-7-241 Levy of tax; disposition of funds; construction with state sales tax statutes.
(a) The following words, terms, and phrases as used in this section shall have the following

Section 11-89C-9 Powers of governing bodies. (a) A governing body shall proceed under this
chapter as a participant in the public corporation or individually, to adopt upon reasonable
public notice and following public hearing all necessary rules and regulations by resolution
or ordinance to implement this chapter and to specifically regulate and control storm water
discharges and eliminate the discharge of pollutants to its municipal separate storm sewers.

to all other taxes imposed by law, there is hereby levied a privilege or license tax in the
amount hereinafter prescribed against every person engaging in Greene County in the business
of renting or furnishing any room or rooms, lodging, or accommodations, to any transient in
