Section 11-65-2 Definitions. (a) The following words and phrases used in this chapter, and others evidently intended as the equivalent thereof, shall, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise, have the following respective meanings: (1) ALABAMA-BRED. When this term is used with reference to a horse, it means a horse which is registered in the registry designated and administered by a commission in accordance with such rules concerning domicile and registration requirements as may be established by such commission and which is either (i) foaled from a mare domiciled in the state during the 10-year period beginning with January 1, 1991, or (ii) sired by an Alabama stallion and foaled from a mare domiciled in the state at any time after the expiration of such 10-year period. (2) ALABAMA STALLION. Section 12-21-131 Interpreters for persons defective in speech and/or hearing - Qualified interpreter provided in certain criminal and juvenile proceedings; requirements; fees. (a) Deaf person means any person either totally deaf, or who has defective hearing, or who has both defective hearing and speech. (b) For the purpose of this section, the term qualified interpreter means an interpreter certified by the National Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf, Alabama Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf, or, in the event an interpreter so certified is not available, an interpreter whose qualifications are otherwise determined. (a) The Office of Indigent Defense Services is established to carry out the administrative duties relating to the provision of indigent defense services. Section 12-17-226.11 Disposition of funds. (a) All remaining administration fees shall be allocated to the district attorney's office. At the discretion of the district attorney, all administration fees paid by the offender pursuant to this division may either be paid to the district attorney, to be placed in the District Attorney's Solicitor Fund, or if the district attorney and the clerk agree, may be paid to the circuit clerk of the jurisdiction for distribution to the District Attorney's Solicitor Fund.
