Section 24-5-14 Penalties; disposition of funds. (a) Whoever violates this article or any regulation or order issued under this article shall be liable for a civil penalty of not to exceed one thousand dollars ($1,000) for each such violation. Each violation of any section of this article or regulation or order shall constitute a separate violation with respect to each manufactured home or with respect to each failure or refusal to allow or perform an act required thereby, except that the maximum civil penalty may not exceed one million dollars ($1,000,000) for any related series of violations occurring within one year from the date of the first violation. Before the commission shall impose a civil penalty it shall first advise the violator of its intention to do so and hold a hearing on the violation no sooner than two weeks after notification to the person of the commission's intent to impose civil penalties and the indicated violations. Section 32-6-18 Penalties - Violations in general; disposition of funds. (a) Any person of whom a driver's license is required, who drives a motor vehicle on a public highway in this state without first having complied with this article or the rules and regulations promulgated hereunder shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and, upon conviction shall be punished by a fine of not less than ten dollars ($10) nor more than one hundred dollars ($100), to be fixed in the discretion of the judge trying the case. (a) It shall be unlawful for any person, firm, or corporation, other than the state Alcoholic Beverage Control Board, to sell at retail in Calhoun County any spirituous or vinous liquors without first obtaining a special license from the judge of probate that shall be in addition to all other licenses required by law.
