Section 10A-9A-10.08 Filings required for merger; effective date. THIS SECTION WAS AMENDED BY ACT 2019-94 IN THE 2019 REGULAR SESSION, EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 2020. (a) It shall be the duty of the owner and developer of each subdivision to have all construction completed in conformity with this chapter and, prior to beginning any construction or development, to submit the proposed plat to the county commission for approval and obtain a permit to develop as required in this section. Upon demolition of the building or structure, the appropriate city official shall make a report of the governing body of the costs thereof, and the governing body shall adopt a resolution fixing the costs which it finds were reasonably incurred in the demolition and assessing the same against the property.
