Section 45-25-11 Compensation of revenue commissioner, judge of probate, and license official. (a) All compensation and expense allowance increases provided in this section shall be subject to the approval of the DeKalb County Commission. (b)(I) Beginning January 1, 1999, the Revenue Commissioner of DeKalb County shall receive an additional expense allowance of five thousand dollars ($5,000) per annum, which shall be in addition to all other compensation, expense allowances, or salary provided by law. Section 45-5-247 Levy of tax authorized. (a) In addition to all other taxes of every kind now imposed by law, the Blount County Commission may levy a privilege or license tax upon every person, firm, or corporation engaging in the business of renting or furnishing any room or rooms, lodging, or accommodations to a transient in any hotel, motel, inn, tourist camp, tourist cabin, or any other place in which rooms, lodgings, or accommodations are regularly furnished to transients for a consideration.
