Section 40-23-68 Seller to file returns. (a) Except as otherwise provided in subsection (f),
the tax imposed by this article shall be due and payable to the department monthly on or before

Section 41-6-74 Notice. (a) When the department is required to give notice of the abandonment
of property or of termination of a loan, the department shall mail notice by certified mail,
return receipt requested, to the last known owner at the most recent address of the owner
as shown on the department's records. If the department does not know the identity of the
owner, or does not have an address for the owner, or does not receive written proof of receipt
of the mailed notice within 30 days of the date the notice was mailed, the department shall

Section 15-5-64 Determination of abandonment. In order for property or proceeds to be deemed
abandoned, a representative of the law enforcement agency having possession of abandoned property
or proceeds shall file with the district attorney a sworn affidavit setting forth the circumstances
of the abandonment, including the results of a search of records to identify the owner or
lienholders. The records to be searched shall include records of the Alabama Department of
Revenue, judge of probate, and the Secretary of State. After the filing of the affidavit,
the district attorney or Attorney General may file an action in the circuit court to declare

Section 13A-11-84 Penalties; seizure and disposition of pistols involved in violations of certain
sections. (a) Every violation of subsection (a) of Section 13A-11-72 or Section 13A-11-81
shall be a Class C felony. Every violation of subsection (b) of Section 13A-11-72 or Sections

Section 22-30-16 Responsibilities of hazardous waste storage and treatment facility and hazardous
waste disposal site operators. (a) The department, acting through the commission, is authorized
to promulgate rules and regulations establishing such standards, applicable to owners and
operators of hazardous waste treatment, storage or disposal facilities as may be necessary
to protect human health or the environment. In establishing such standards, the department
may, where appropriate, distinguish in such standards between requirements appropriate for
