of this part, an eligible fire department means a fire department in Crenshaw County that

department. Upon dissolution or abandonment of any eligible volunteer fire department, any
remaining funds derived from this article or any assets purchased with funds derived from

Section 45-40-141.06 Use of funds. Funds disbursed to eligible volunteer fire departments
pursuant to this part shall be expended only for fire protection and emergency medical services,
including training, supplies, buildings, capital improvements, equipment, insurance, professional
services, and dues. The funds shall not be expended for salaries, food, drink, social activities,
or fund-raising activities. After receiving funds, the volunteer fire departments shall keep

Section 45-48-247.02 Violations. It shall be unlawful for any dealer, storer, or distributor
engaged in or continuing in Marshall County in the business for which the tax is hereby levied
to fail or refuse to add to the price and collect from the purchaser the amount due on account
of the tax herein provided or to refund or offer to refund all or part of the amount collected
or absorb or advertise directly or indirectly the absorption of the tax or any portion thereof.
