Section 45-35-230 Salary; expense allowance. (a)(1) Commencing with the next term of office, the Sheriff of Houston County, Alabama, shall receive additional compensation in the sum of fifteen thousand dollars ($15,000) per annum payable from the General Fund of Houston County in equal installments, in the same manner as other county employees are paid. Such compensation shall be in addition to any expense allowance or other compensation except any expense allowance which has become null and void on July 29, 1991. (2) This section shall become effective with the next term of office for the Sheriff of Houston County.
