Section 11-54-2 Authorized. Each municipality shall have the power to acquire and develop one
or more parcels of land as the site or sites for an industrial park or industrial parks and
shall have the power to expend money for such acquisition and development. The development
of land as the site for an industrial park shall be deemed to include the provision of water,
sewage, drainage, transportation, power, and communication facilities and other similar facilities
which are incidental to use of the land as an industrial park, but shall not be deemed to
include the provision of structures or buildings other than structures or buildings related
to water, sewage, drainage, transportation, power, communication, or similar facilities. (Acts

Section 11-54-88 Additional powers as to pollution control facilities. (a)(1) In addition to
all other powers at any time conferred on them by law, each industrial development board shall
have the following powers: a. To acquire, whether by construction, purchase, exchange, gift,

certain tax exempt projects. (a) For the purposes of this section, the term governmental entity

Section 11-20-70 Establishment of agriculture authority; application; articles of incorporation.
(a) An agriculture authority may be established in any county to construct and operate facilities
to promote agricultural businesses, operations, and commodities, workforce development, and
economic development within the county as further provided in this article. The operational
area of an agriculture authority may not extend beyond the boundaries of the county in which
