Section 11-65-20 Terms of operator's license. (a) An operator's license issued under this chapter, whether for horse racing and pari-mutuel wagering thereon or for greyhound racing and pari-mutuel wagering thereon, shall be for an initial period of 20 years, but shall be subject to renewal as provided in this section. A commission shall have no power to modify the terms of an operator's license, once issued, without the prior written consent of the holder of such license. Section 16-27A-7 Contesting a notice of violation; adjudication. (a) No person shall be responsible for payment of a civil fine for a notice of violation issued under this chapter if the operator of the vehicle that is the subject of the notice of violation is adjudicated to have not committed a violation or there is otherwise a lawful determination that no civil penalty may be imposed. Any person receiving a notice of violation pursuant to this chapter, in accordance with the procedure set out in this chapter and on the notice of violation, may contest the notice of violation by obtaining a hearing in the court. Section 45-37A-331.39 Fees; records of adjudication of civil violation. The city may provide by ordinance that a late fee not exceeding twenty-five dollars ($25) shall attach to untimely paid civil fines that are authorized in this subpart. No person may be arrested or incarcerated for nonpayment of a civil fine or late fee.
