Section 45-24-241.02 Levy of special property tax. The County Commission of Dallas County is
authorized and empowered to levy and collect a special property tax, in addition to all other
taxes now or hereafter provided by law, not exceeding three and one-half mills on each one
dollar's worth of taxable property outside the corporate limits of the City of Selma, as assessed
for state ad valorem taxation during the preceding year. The proceeds of the additional taxes
levied by this part shall be used exclusively for fire, emergency medical, and rescue services.

Section 45-8-242 Levy of tax; advisory referendum; collection of tax; disposition of funds.
(a) This section shall only apply to Calhoun County. (b) As used in this section, state sales
and use tax means the tax imposed by the state sales and use tax statutes, including, but
not limited to, Sections 40-23-1, 40-23-2, 40-23-4, 40-23-60, 40-23-61, 40-23-62, and 40-23-63.
(c)(1) The County Commission of Calhoun County may levy in the police jurisdictions of the
incorporated municipalities in the county and in the unincorporated areas of the county, in

Section 45-12-241.01 Privilege license tax for mandatory solid waste disposal program. (a)
This section shall only apply to Choctaw County. (b) As used in this section, state sales
and use tax means the tax imposed by the state sales and use tax statutes, including, but
not limited to, Sections 40-23-1, 40-23-2, 40-23-3, 40-23-4, 40-23-60, 40-23-61, 40-23-62,
and 40-23-63 of the Code of Alabama 1975. (c) The County Commission of Choctaw County may
levy, in addition to all other taxes, a privilege license tax against gross sales in an amount
up to two cents which shall be exclusively for the operational fund of the county mandatory

now or hereafter granted by law, the authority shall have the following powers, together with

Section 45-11-242 Levy and collection of tax; disposition of funds. (a) In Chilton County,
in addition to any and all other taxes heretofore or hereafter levied, the Chilton County

Section 45-43-241 Ad valorem tax authorized. (a) Pursuant to subsection (f) of Amendment 373
to the Constitution of Alabama of 1901, the Lowndes County Commission, in addition to any
other tax, may levy an ad valorem tax in the amount of three mills on each dollar of taxable
property in the county. The tax herein authorized, if levied, shall begin on the tax year

Section 45-10-242 Authorization to increase ad valorem school tax. In addition to any taxes
now authorized or that may hereafter be authorized by the constitution and laws of the State
