Section 45-14-80.03 County general fund. (a) In addition to any court costs and fees now or hereafter authorized in Clay County, the Clay County Commission may impose by resolution of the commission an additional fee in an amount not to exceed fifty dollars ($50) to be assessed and taxed as costs on each civil case and on each criminal case, including traffic cases, filed in the circuit court or district court in Clay County. These fees shall not be waived by any court unless all other fees, assessments, costs, fines, and charges associated with the case are waived. (a) In Covington County there is created a fund to be designated the "District Attorney's Fund" of the Twenty-second Judicial Circuit, which fund shall be at the disposal of the district attorney of the circuit, and shall be expended by him or her for the payment of any and all expenses to be incurred for law enforcement and in the discharge of the duties of the office. Section 45-20-82.65 Collection of fees; disposition of funds. After a matter has been transferred to the district attorney under Section 45-20-82.63, a court shall assess a collection fee of 30 percent of the funds due which shall be added to the amount of funds due.
