Section 22-18-60 Definitions. For the purposes of this article, the following terms shall have the following meanings: (1) ACCS. The Alabama Community College System. (2) ASSOCIATIONS. The Alabama Association of Rescue Squads or the Alabama Association of Volunteer Fire Departments. (3) EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES PERSONNEL (EMSP). All recognized levels of personnel licensed by the Alabama Department of Public Health, who have met all primary and/or renewal educational requirements set by the Alabama Department of Public Health, and are allowed to provide medical care within the level of their scope of practice granted by the Office of Emergency Medical Services (OEMS) within the Alabama Department of Public Health. (a) In Dale County, the Revenue Commissioner shall collect a tag transaction fee in the amount of five dollars ($5) for each motor vehicle tag, except trailer tags, issued or renewed in the county. Section 45-18-243.07 Charge for collection; disposition of funds. The department shall charge Conecuh County for collecting the tax levied under this part in an amount or percentage of total collections as may be agreed upon by the commissioner and the Conecuh County Commission. The charge shall not exceed five percent of the total amount of the tax collected in the county. The charge may be deducted each month from the gross revenues from the tax before certification of the amount of the proceeds due Conecuh County for that month.
