Section 41-10-754 Powers of the authority. The authority shall have, in addition to all other powers granted to it in this article, all of the following powers: (1) To have succession by its corporate name until dissolved as herein provided. (a)(1) There is established an advisory committee to be known as the Cahawba Advisory Committee, composed of 16 members, 15 of whom shall be appointed by the Governor. The Judge of Probate of Dallas County shall be the sixteenth member but shall be a member ex officio and shall not be entitled to a vote on the advisory committee. (a) The Choctaw County Commission shall reimburse the office of judge of probate from the general fund of the county, the amount of any monetary loss, not to exceed a total payment of three thousand dollars ($3,000) per annum, arising or caused by error if the mistake or omission was caused without the personal knowledge of the judge of probate, including loss arising from acceptance of worthless or forged checks, drafts, money orders, or other written orders for money or its equivalent.
