Section 45-41-260.01 Composition of planning commission. The commission shall be composed of 11 members, each of whom shall be a qualified elector in and an actual resident of Lee County. The Lee County Commission members may appoint two members for their respective district and one member shall be appointed by the chair of the county commission. All members shall be appointed by the Lee County Commission and shall serve at the pleasure of the Lee County Commission. Each member shall serve a term of six years or until a successor is duly appointed and qualified. Prior to taking office each member shall subscribe to an oath as provided by law for the public officials and the same shall be recorded in the office of the Judge of Probate of Lee County.
