Section 45-29-71.10 County supervisor. (a) The county commission may, by designating
one of its employees or, in its discretion, employ as new personnel, a county supervisor.
The county supervisor shall serve at the pleasure of the county commission and his or her
compensation shall be fixed by the county commission. It shall be the duty of the county supervisor
of Fayette County to do all of the following: (1) To supervise and direct all personnel as
are necessary to properly maintain and construct the public roads, highways, bridges, and
county shop of Fayette County, and he or she shall have authority to prescribe their duties
subject to the policies which are in effect or established by the county commission. (2) To

Section 45-19-70.08 County engineer; powers and duties; compensation; equipment and
facilities. (a) The chair, with the approval of the county commission, shall employ a county
engineer, who shall be a qualified and competent civil engineer, possessing all of the qualities
as specified for county engineers pursuant to law. The county engineer shall devote his or

Section 45-22-71 Construction, repair, and maintenance of roads and bridges; duties
of county engineer. The Cullman County Commission or like governing body of Cullman County
shall be solely responsible for the construction, repair, and maintenance of the roads and
bridges in the county; but all construction, repair, and maintenance shall be done on the
basis of the county as a unit, without regard to district or quadrant lines, and under the

Section 45-13-70 Members to serve part-time; salary; centralized road system; work plan

Section 45-43-170.04 Solid waste disposal - Fees; public nuisances. (a) The Lowndes
County Commission shall by resolution provide for the orderly collection of fees charged under
this article. The county commission may establish a periodic payment system and is authorized
