Section 45-16-243.01 Collection of tax; enforcement. The tax authorized to be levied by this
part shall be collected by Coffee County in the same manner and subject to the same exemptions
as the state lodging tax as provided in Chapter 26, Title 40. The tax herein levied shall
constitute a debt due the county. The tax, together with any interest and penalties, shall
constitute and be secured by a lien upon the property of any person from whom the tax is due

Section 45-2-244.036 Enforcement of subpart. It shall be the duty of the County Commission
of Baldwin County to enforce the provisions of this subpart upon its imposing the tax thereunder,
and it shall have the right itself, or its members or its agents, to examine the books, reports,
and accounts of every distributor, storer, or retail dealer of gasoline or motor fuel on which

Section 45-21-241.22 Payment of tax. All taxes levied in this subpart shall be paid to and
collected by the State Department of Revenue at the same time and in the same manner as state

Section 45-21-84.05 Certificate of assessment; issuance of license tag; valuation; municipal
taxes. (a) Every person, firm, or corporation residing in or owning a motor vehicle which
is principally used in Crenshaw County who desires to operate a motor vehicle on the public
highways of Alabama shall first be required to pay ad valorem taxes and sales taxes to the
judge of probate. The judge of probate shall issue a certificate of assessment on a form prescribed
by the State Department of Revenue, shall collect the tax as shown thereon, and shall make
a duplicate of the tax receipt and keep the receipt on file in the probate office for one

Section 45-18-244.02 Collection of tax; stamps. It shall be unlawful for any dealer, storer,
or distributor engaged in or continuing in the business in Conecuh County for which the tax
is levied to fail or refuse to add to the sales price and collect from the purchaser the amount
due on account of the tax herein provided, to refund or offer to refund all or any part of
the amount collected or absorb, or advertise directly or indirectly, the absorption of the
