Section 45-24A-30 Board of education. (a) If the majority of electors voting pursuant to Section 1 of the act from which this section is derived, vote in favor of changing to an elected board, an elected board of education for the City of Selma shall be established. In the event a vacancy occurs in the office of members of the county board of education, the vacancy shall be filled by appointment by a majority of the remaining members of the county board of education, and the appointee shall hold for the unexpired term.
