Section 41-9-982 Commission - Composition. (a) The commission shall be composed of 20 members as follows: (1) A member of the Senate appointed by the President Pro Tempore of the Senate. (2) A member of the House of Representatives appointed by the Speaker of the House. (3) The State Superintendent of Education. (4) Five representatives from the Postsecondary Education System appointed by the State Board of Education. (5) Twelve members of the public appointed by the Governor. The public members shall be residents of Alabama, with broad geographic representation, who have a personal interest or experience in the Holocaust or other genocide or human rights issue; have experience in the field of Holocaust education; or are liberators of victims of the Holocaust. Section 34-21-2 Board of Nursing generally. (a) There is created the Board of Nursing, which shall be composed of 13 members to be appointed and have the duties and powers enumerated in this section. The membership of the board shall be inclusive and reflect the racial, gender, geographic, urban/rural, and economic diversity of the state.
