Section 45-20-71.13 Duties of the president. The president of the board is made the presiding
officer of the board, charged with the duty to preside at all the meetings of the board, but
with no right to vote except in case of a tie, in which event he or she shall cast the deciding

Section 11-65-5 Composition of commission; terms; qualifications; removal from office. (a)
Every commission shall have five members, which shall constitute its governing body. All powers
of a commission shall be exercised by its members or pursuant to their authorization. The

Section 45-35A-53 Dothan City Board of Education. (a) There is established a school board for
the City of Dothan, Alabama, which board shall be called the Dothan City Board of Education.
Members of the board shall be elected by vote of the qualified electors of the City of Dothan.
