Section 45-42-150.02 Bingo games - Permits. (a) No qualified organization or club shall be permitted to operate a bingo game unless the bingo game is located in the confines of Limestone County. The permit described in this article is in addition to, and not in lieu of, any other business licenses which may be required by law. No bingo game shall be operated until all required licenses have been obtained. A permit holder may hold only one permit and the permit shall be valid for only one location. A permit shall not be assignable or transferable. (b) Any qualified organization or club desiring to obtain a permit to operate bingo games in a calendar year shall apply to the county commission, on forms provided by that office, and shall pay an annual fee of one hundred dollars ($100). (a) On or before January 15, April 15, July 15, and October 15, respectively, occurring one year after January 1, 1997, and on or before January 15, April 15, July 15, and October 15 of each year thereafter, each permit holder shall file with the governing body which issued the permit and with the Calhoun County Bingo Regulatory Commission, a copy of the records required in Section 45-8-150.08 relating to the operation of bingo sessions in the previous quarter of the calendar year in which bingo games were operated by the qualified organization. Any person aggrieved by the refusal of a commission to issue any license or permit, or the suspension or revocation of a license or permit, the imposition of a fine, the disapproval of a contract, or any other action or failure of action by the commission, may, within 60 days of such action or failure of action, appeal to the circuit court of the host county.
