Section 27-12A-9 Administrative cease and desist authority. Whenever it appears to the commissioner
that any person has engaged in or is about to engage in any act or practice constituting a
violation of any provision of this chapter or any rule or order hereunder, the commissioner
may, in the commissioner's discretion, do either or both of the following: (1) Issue a cease
and desist order, with or without a prior hearing, against the person or persons engaged in
the prohibited activities, directing them to cease and desist from engaging in the act or
practice. (2) Bring an action in any court of competent jurisdiction to enjoin the act or
practice and to enforce compliance with this chapter or any rule or order issued hereunder.

Section 34-31-32 Violations; penalties. (a) Any person engaged in business as a certified contractor
or performing the functions of a certified contractor in violation of this chapter shall be
guilty of a Class A misdemeanor, as defined by the state criminal code. (b) The board may,
at its discretion, impose late penalties on those certified contractors who fail to renew
certificates by December 31 of each year. The board may also remove certification from any
certified person who fails to renew his or her certificate by the first day of March and require

a petition for a protection order or a petition to modify a protection order that abuse has
occurred or from a petition for a modification of a protection order that a modification is

Section 14-15-10 Actions concerning prison conditions; prisoner release orders. (a) In any
civil action with respect to prison conditions, no prisoner release order shall be entered
unless both of the following are satisfied: (1) A court has previously entered an order for

Section 23-1-413 Permit procedures. (a) The department shall establish procedures for submitting
applications and issuing permits. (b)(1) The department shall produce and, from time to time,
modify and update the forms on which the applications for a permit shall be made. (2) The
