Section 45-8-243 Levy of tax; failure to add tax or refund or absorption of tax; disposition
of funds; affixing of tax stamps; rules and regulations; construction and application. (a)
The Calhoun County Commission is hereby authorized to impose upon every person, firm, corporation,
club, association, partnership, or other legal entity who or which sells, stores, delivers,
uses, or otherwise consumes tobacco or certain tobacco products in Calhoun County a county
privilege, license, or excise tax in the following amounts: (1) Three cents ($0.03) for each
package of cigarettes, made of tobacco or any substitute therefor. (2) Three cents ($0.03)
for each sack, can, package, or other container of smoking tobacco, including granulated,

Section 8-21C-11 Civil action for damages. (a) A dealer, manufacturer, distributor,
or warrantor injured by another party's violation of this chapter may bring a civil action
in circuit court to recover actual damages. The court shall award attorney's fees and costs
to the prevailing party in such an action. Venue for any civil action authorized by this section
shall be exclusively in the county in which the dealer's business is located. In an action
involving more than one dealer, venue may be in any county in which any dealer that is party
to the action is located. (b)(1) Prior to bringing suit under this section, the party

Section 22-32-1 Enactment of Southeast Interstate Low-Level Radioactive Waste Management
Compact. The Southeast Interstate Low-Level Radioactive Waste Management Compact is hereby
enacted into law and entered into by the State of Alabama with any and all states legally
joining therein in accordance with its terms, in the form substantially as follows: SOUTHEAST
INTERSTATE LOW-LEVEL RADIOACTIVE WASTE MANAGEMENT COMPACT Article I. Policy and Purpose There
is hereby created the Southeast Interstate Low-Level Radioactive Waste Management Compact.
The party states recognize and declare that each state is responsible for providing for the
availability of capacity either within or outside the state for the disposal of low-level
radioactive waste generated within its borders, except for waste generated as a result of

the following terms shall have the respective meanings ascribed to them by this section:
(1) CIGAR WRAP. An individual tobacco wrapper that is made wholly or in part from tobacco,

In this chapter the following terms have the following meanings: (1) APPOINTIVE PROPERTY.
The property or property interest subject to a power of appointment. (2) ASCERTAINABLE STANDARD.
A standard relating to an individual's health, education, support, or maintenance within the
meaning of 26 U.S.C. Section 2041(b)(1)(A), as amended, or 26 U.S.C. Section
