Section 45-2-235 Fees; disposition of funds. (a) In Baldwin County the fee for issuance of a permit to carry a pistol in a vehicle or concealed on or about the person as provided in Section 13-6-155, shall not exceed the sum of thirty dollars ($30), as set by the sheriff. The fee shall be collected by the sheriff of the county. It is the intent of the Legislature that the fee collected is in addition to any other appropriations received by the sheriff. (b) All fees collected from the sale of pistol permits under subsection (a) shall be deposited by the sheriff of the county, in any bank located in such county, into a fund known as the Sheriff's Fund. The Sheriff's Fund shall be drawn upon by the sheriff of such county or his appointed agent and shall be used exclusively for law enforcement purposes and in the discharge of the sheriff's office as the sheriff sees fit. Section 45-2-261.05 Planning districts and authority. The Baldwin County Commission shall divide the unincorporated areas of Baldwin County into planning districts. Prior to submission of a written petition to hold an election pursuant to Section 45-2-261.07, the planning districts may be altered as necessary by the Baldwin County Commission to effect the provisions of this subpart.
