Section 22-21-104 Special county tax - Validation of elections - Counties with population less
than 50,000. Every election heretofore held in any county in this state, which has a population
of less than 50,000, according to the last federal decennial census, on the question of the
levy of a special tax for public hospital purposes under the Constitution of Alabama, including
any amendment thereto, at which election a majority of the votes cast were in favor of the
levy of the said tax, but which election was irregular by reason of failure prior to the holding
of the election to give notice thereof in a newspaper or by posting in the manner or for the
time required by any statute applicable to the election, or because of failure to comply with
any other statutory requirement applicable to the election or because of any other irregularity

Section 22-3A-19 Certain public health facilities as primary obligation of authority; reimbursement
to counties; refinancing or refunding of obligations. (a) As its primary obligation under

Section 45-11-242 Levy and collection of tax; disposition of funds. (a) In Chilton County,
in addition to any and all other taxes heretofore or hereafter levied, the Chilton County
Commission is hereby authorized to levy an ad valorem tax, not to exceed five mills, on each
dollar of taxable property effective upon ratification by the qualified electors, at a referendum
called for the purpose, within 90 days after June 11, 1987. (b) The county commission shall
collect the ad valorem taxes in the same manner and at the same period, as are all other existing

Fund into which a minimum of five percent of the tax collected monthly under this subpart

provision of law or any rule or regulation by the state or federal government or local government
in Limestone County, and specifically Chapter 27, Title 22, as amended, relating to the regulation,

be permitted to operate a bingo game unless the county governing body, or the governing bodies
of the respective cities and towns, within their respective jurisdictions, issues a permit

to, and not in lieu of, any other business license which may be required by law, and no bingo
