Section 40-23-60 Definitions. For the purpose of this article, the following terms shall
have the respective meanings ascribed to them in this section: (1) PERSON or COMPANY.
Any individual, firm, company, partnership, association, corporation, receiver or trustee,
or any other group or combination acting as a unit, and the plural as well as the singular
number, unless the intention to give a more limited meaning is disclosed by the context. (2)
DEPARTMENT. The Department of Revenue of the State of Alabama. (3) COMMISSIONER. The Commissioner
of Revenue of the State of Alabama. (4) WHOLESALE SALE or SALE AT WHOLESALE. Any one of the
following: a. A sale of tangible personal property by wholesaler to licensed retail merchants,
jobbers, dealers or other wholesalers for resale and does not include a sale by wholesalers
to users or consumers, not for resale. b. A sale of tangible personal property or products,

Section 40-29-22 Lien for taxes - Validity and priority against certain persons. (a)
Purchasers, holders of security interests, mechanic's lienors, and judgment lien creditors.
The lien imposed by Section 40-29-20 shall not be valid as against any purchaser, holder
of a security interest, mechanic's lienor, or judgment lien creditor until notice thereof
which meets the requirements of subsection (f) has been filed by the Commissioner of Revenue
or his delegate, and shall not be perfected as against any purchaser, holder of a security
interest, mechanic's lienor, or judgment lien creditor until the date such notice is filed.
(b) Protection for certain interest even though notice filed. Even though notice of a lien
imposed by Section 40-29-20 has been filed, such lien shall not be valid: (1) SECURITIES.

Section 17-6-81 Fair Ballot Commission; ballot statements. (a)(1) There is created the
Fair Ballot Commission. The purpose of the commission is to provide to the public a fair and
accurate explanation of what a vote for and what a vote against a statewide ballot measure
represents. (2) The commission shall consist of the following 18 members: The Governor, the
Lieutenant Governor, the Commissioner of Agriculture and Industries, the Speaker of the House

the following definitions shall be applicable unless the context clearly indicates otherwise:

Section 13A-11-61.3 Regulation of firearms, ammunition, and firearm accessories. (a)
The purpose of this section is to establish within the Legislature complete control
over regulation and policy pertaining to firearms, ammunition, and firearm accessories in
