Section 45-43-246.62 Levy of tax; exemption. (a) The County Commission of Lowndes County shall
levy, in addition to all other taxes, including, but not limited to, municipal gross receipts
license taxes, a one cent ($.01) privilege license tax against gross sales or gross receipts.

Section 40-14A-35 (Repealed for taxable years beginning on or after January 1, 2002.) Filing
of returns. (a) Every corporation organized, incorporated, qualified, or registered under
Alabama law or doing business in Alabama as of the first day of a calendar year shall file

Section 45-10-243 Lodging tax levied. In Cherokee County, in addition to all other taxes imposed
by law, there is levied a privilege or license tax in the amount herein prescribed against
every person within the county engaging in the business of renting or furnishing a room or
rooms, lodgings, or accommodations, to a transient in a hotel, motel, inn, condominium, house,
