Section 16-51-3 Board of trustees - Creation; composition; reappointments; expenses. (a) There is created a Board of Trustees for the University of North Alabama, the state educational institution at Florence, Alabama. The board of trustees shall consist of all of the following: (1) Six members who are residents of the fourth and fifth congressional districts, as those districts were constituted on January 1, 2018, at least two of whom shall be residents of the county in which the institution is located. (2) Three members from the state at large. (3) Two at-large members from within or outside of the state. (4) The Governor, who shall be ex officio president of the board. (a) There is hereby created a State Ethics Commission composed of five members, each of whom shall be a fair, equitable citizen of this state and of high moral character and ability.
