Section 34-13-7 Embezzlement, abstracting, or willfully misapplying moneys collected; bribery. Any person who embezzles, abstracts, or willfully misapplies any of the moneys, funds, security, or credit of the board or who misuses any of the funds or fees so collected, by virtue of this chapter, and any person who, with like intent, aids or abets any person in violation of this chapter shall be guilty of a felony and, upon conviction, shall be punished by a fine of not less than five hundred dollars ($500) nor exceeding five thousand dollars ($5,000) and imprisonment in the penitentiary for a period of not less than one year and not more than five years, and the principal offenders and those aiding and abetting same may be charged in the same count, and separate offenses may be charged, in separate counts, in the same indictment and tried together. Section 32-6-19 Penalties - Violation by person whose license or driving privilege has been cancelled, etc.; impoundment of vehicle. (a) In Jefferson County, in addition to all other taxes imposed by law, there is hereby levied an additional privilege or license tax, in the amount hereinafter prescribed against any person, organization, or other entity engaging or continuing in the county in the business of leasing or renting any passenger automotive vehicle, the duration of the lease being not more than one year.
