Section 9-14E-2 Sale or lease of park property. (a) Any state park or park property lying seaward of the current location of Alabama Highway 182 in Baldwin County, Alabama, shall not be sold. The project site and any portion thereof, including buildings and structures constructed on the project site, shall not be sold. (b) The Governor may authorize any state park or park property lying seaward of the current location of Alabama Highway 182 in Baldwin County, Alabama, including the project site, in whole or in part, to be leased for a period of 12 years or shorter, including all extension or renewal periods. Any lease of such property described in this subsection over 12 years, including all extension or renewal periods, shall be subject to approval by a majority vote of the Gulf State Park Project Committee, as provided for in subsection (d) of Section 9-14E-5. Section 31-9-85 Applications for assistance. Unless an extension is granted by the committee, applications for assistance shall be submitted to the Emergency Management Agency by the county commission or municipality in the affected area seeking assistance within 90 days of the local declaration of a disaster. The Emergency Management Agency shall review each application in accordance with this article and the rules adopted as provided in Section 31-9-84 and, no later than 30 days after receipt of the application, shall provide notice to the local government and the members of the committee whether the application has been approved.
