Section 9-10B-20 Submission of declaration of beneficial use; requirements and limitations;
certificate of use. (a) A declaration of beneficial use shall be submitted within 90 days
of the promulgation of rules and regulations governing such declarations by each public water
system that regularly serves, individually or in combination with other such systems, more
than 10,000 households and by each person who diverts, withdraws, or consumes more than 100,000
gallons of water on any day from the waters of the state. (b) A declaration of beneficial
use shall be submitted within 180 days of the promulgation of rules and regulations governing
such declarations by each public water system that regularly serves, individually or in combination
with other such systems, less than 10,000 households. (c) No declaration of beneficial use

Section 11-40-10.2 Rehiring of certain law enforcement officers retired from state or
local law enforcement agency. (a) Notwithstanding any provision of law to the contrary, a
Class 5, Class 6, Class 7, or Class 8 municipality may rehire a retired law enforcement officer
to perform duties as needed if the mayor, or town or city council, as appropriate, declares
all of the following: (1) There is a critical personnel shortage such that the rehiring is
necessary to provide public safety services. (2) The retired law enforcement officer retired
from any state or local law enforcement agency within the State of Alabama which subscribes
to the same pension system as the reemploying authority, and has been retired for at least

Section 31-9A-5 Director of Homeland Security. (a) The position of Director of Homeland
Security is created. The director shall be the head of the department. The director shall
be appointed by and hold office at the pleasure of the Governor and shall be subject to confirmation

Section 11-52-30 Territorial jurisdiction; approval of maps or plats; regulations; limits

Section 22-25B-2 Exempted entities. The following entities shall not be certified or
regulated by the commission, but shall be subject to all other requirements of this chapter:
(1) Cooperatives transacting business in this state pursuant to Chapter 6 of Title 37 deemed
