Section 12-19-312 Disposition of funds. (a) The fee allocated to the Solicitor's Fund shall
be expended for the payment of any and all expenses incurred by the district attorney in the
discharge of the duties of the office or for any legitimate law enforcement purpose. (b) The
fee allocated for the court clerk's fund shall be expended at the discretion of the clerk,
to support the functions of the office of the clerk. (c) The fees allocated to the Sheriff's
Fund, administered by the sheriff, shall be expended at the direction of the sheriff for the
operation of the jail. (d) The fees allocated to the Alabama Forensic Services Trust Fund
shall be expended for the objective analysis of scientific evidence in pending criminal investigations.

shall keep and maintain a permanent record of all abandoned or stolen firearms, not subject
to disposition by general law. The records shall state the description of the firearm, the
date of recovery of the firearm, and the serial or other identifying number, if any, of the
firearm. Firearm as used in this part shall have the same meaning as defined in Section 13A-8-1.
(b) Unless otherwise provided by law, the sheriff may sell or destroy these firearms if the
owner of the firearm does not claim the firearm within six months of the date the sheriff
obtained it. (c) The sheriff may sell the firearms only to gun dealers who have held an active
business license for at least one year immediately prior to the date of the sale. The sheriff

Section 45-33-233 Hale County Sheriff Service of Process Serving Fund. (a) This section shall
apply only to Hale County. (b) The Hale County Sheriff Service of Process Serving Fund is
