Section 12-16-8.1 Discharge of employee or adverse employee action. (a) No employer in this
state may discharge any employee or subject any employee to an adverse employment action solely
because he or she serves on any jury empanelled under any state or federal statute; provided,
however, that the employee reports for work on his or her next regularly scheduled hour after
being dismissed from any jury. (b) Any employee who is so discharged or subjected to an adverse
employment action shall have a cause of action against the employer for the discharge or adverse
employment action in any court of competent jurisdiction in this state and shall be entitled
to recover both actual and punitive damages. (c) The provisions of this section are supplemental
to any statutes, existing or to be enacted in the future, that are designed to protect and
safeguard a citizen's right and duty to serve on a lawful jury, and the provisions of this

Section 16-22A-12 Penalties. (a) Violations. Any person convicted of any of the following actions
under this chapter shall be guilty of a Class A misdemeanor: (1) Violating the confidentiality
of records provisions. (2) Violating lawfully adopted policies which are provided for in this
chapter. (3) Knowingly, willfully, and intentionally making or transmitting a false report
or complaint against any current employee, current employee under review, or applicant without
reason to believe the accuracy of such report or complaint. (b) False information or failure

Section 27-29-10 Violations and penalties; criminal proceedings. (a) Any insurer failing, without
just cause, to file any registration statement as required in this chapter shall be required,
after notice and hearing, to pay a penalty of up to one thousand dollars ($1,000) for each
day's delay, to be recovered by the commissioner and the penalty so recovered shall be paid
into the state General Fund. The maximum penalty under this section is fifty thousand dollars
($50,000). The commissioner may reduce the penalty if the commissioner, in the commissioner's
sole discretion, determines it is equitable to do so or the insurer demonstrates to the commissioner

unincorporated areas. (a) This section shall apply within all unincorporated areas of Baldwin
County. (b) The county commission shall have zoning authority and the power to establish and

Section 2-3-23 Promulgation and enforcement of rules and regulations; posting of rules; penalty.
The Commissioner of Agriculture and Industries is empowered and authorized, with the approval
of the State Board of Agriculture and Industries, to promulgate and enforce such rules and
regulations, as in the opinion of the commissioner, shall be necessary to carry out the purposes
