Section 11-92C-2 Definitions. For the purposes of this chapter, the following words have the
following meanings: (1) APPLICANT. A natural person who files a written application with the
governing body of any authorizing subdivision in accordance with Section 11-92C-3. (2) AUTHORITY.
Any local redevelopment authority organized pursuant to this chapter. (3) AUTHORIZING RESOLUTION.
A resolution adopted by the governing body of any authorizing subdivision in accordance with
Section 11-92C-3, which authorizes the incorporation of the authority. (4) AUTHORIZING SUBDIVISION.
Any county or municipality that has adopted an authorizing resolution. (5) BOARD. The board
of directors of an authority. (6) BONDS. Any bonds, notes, certificates, or any other form
of indebtedness representing an obligation to pay money. (7) CONTIGUOUS. Two or more tracts

Section 16-18A-2 Definitions. As used in this chapter, the following words and terms shall
have the following meanings unless the context clearly indicates otherwise: (1) AUTHORITY.
The Private Colleges and Universities Facilities Authority created by this chapter and any

Section 32-20-2 Definitions. For purposes of this chapter, the following terms shall have the
meanings respectively ascribed to them in this section, except where the context clearly indicates
a different meaning: (1) DEALER. A person licensed by the Alabama Manufactured Housing Commission
as a manufactured home retailer and engaged regularly in the business of buying, selling,
or exchanging manufactured homes in this state, and having an established place of business.

Section 45-42-162.17 Transition. (a) The transition period shall be directed by the provisions
contained herein. The level of services during transition shall not be below the level of

to this article to conduct surface mining operations shall require that such surface coal
mining operations will meet all applicable performance standards of this article, and such
