Section 45-45-32 Library board. (a) Upon the adoption of an ordinance by the Huntsville City Council authorizing the appointment of two additional members to the library board established by the City of Huntsville, two additional board members may be appointed to the library board of the city as follows: (1) One additional board member who is a resident of Madison County may be appointed by the Madison County Commission. (2) One additional board member who is a resident of the City of Madison in Madison County may be appointed by the City Council of the City of Madison. (b) The library board member appointed by the Madison County Commission may serve an initial term of two years, and thereafter shall serve a term of four years.
