Section 45-14-91 Clay County Industrial Development Council - Created; composition; meetings; reimbursement of expenses. (a) Pursuant to Amendment 682 of the Constitution of Alabama of 1901, there is created and established the Clay County Industrial Development Council on the first day of the first month next following May 17, 2001. The members of the council shall be appointed as follows: (1) The county commissioners for commission districts 1, 2, and 3 shall each appoint one member who shall serve an initial term of one year. (2) The county commissioners for commission districts 4 and 5 shall each appoint one member who shall serve an initial term of two years. Section 45-9-60 Compensation. (a) Pursuant to Amendment No. 103 of the Constitution of Alabama of 1901, the coroner serving Chambers County shall receive a monthly salary of seven hundred dollars ($700) effective September 1, 2003. (b) The salary provided for in this section shall be paid in equal monthly installments from the county treasury and shall be paid in lieu of any other salary heretofore provided by law for the coroner. Section 11-3-4 Reimbursement of travel expenses of commissioners. Each member of the county commission, including the judge of probate when he or she serves as chair of the county commission shall be entitled to reimbursement of all actual travel expenses, other than mileage, and mileage at the mileage rate allowed by the Internal Revenue Code for income tax deduction while traveling in his or her personal vehicle within or outside of the county, in performing the duties of the office of county commissioner. Section 45-44-231 Additional deputies sheriff and jail personnel. In Macon County, the sheriff may employ additional deputies sheriff and jail personnel. The number of additional employees may be determined by the sheriff and the county commission. Salaries for the additional personnel may be payable in like manner as the salaries for existing law enforcement officers and employees are payable out of the general fund of the county or any other fund that the county commission shall designate.
