Section 45-20A-10.09 Board of education - Chair. The chair of the board shall have all of the following duties: (1) To preside over all board meetings. In Limestone County, the county board of education, upon recommendation of the county superintendent of education, may substitute other books or texts for use in the county schools under its jurisdiction for the textbooks on the list of state-approved or state-adopted textbooks prescribed by the State Board of Education.
