Section 45-44-130.04 Bond. Before entering upon his or her duties, the county engineer shall
make and enter into a surety bond in the amount set from time to time by the county commission,
payable to Macon County, conditioned on the faithful discharge and performance of his or her
duties as engineer, and for the faithful accounting of all monies or property of Macon County,
which may come into his or her possession or custody. The bond shall be executed by a surety
company authorized and qualified to do business in Alabama and be approved by the commission.

Section 45-12-71 Construction and maintenance of private roads. (a) The County Commission of
Choctaw County is hereby authorized and empowered to construct and maintain driveways for
schools, churches, and church owned cemeteries, located within the county, at county expense.
(b) The county commission is further authorized and empowered to construct and maintain any
road or driveway, exclusive of bridges, leading from a public road to the residence of an
abutting landowner for a distance of one-fourth of a mile. (c) The actual cost of operating
