Section 12-22-193 Examination of petitioner; subpoena of witnesses; ascertainment of financial
information; estimate of costs and fees. Upon the filing of the petition with the clerk or
the trial judge within the time prescribed in Section 12-22-92, the trial judge shall have
the defendant or petitioner brought before him and shall examine the defendant or petitioner
under oath concerning the required averment in the petition that the defendant or petitioner
is without sufficient funds, and has no reasonable way to procure the same, to pay the court
reporter all of his lawful fees for transcribing the evidence and other proceedings had at
the trial or on the hearing of said case or the fees of the clerk which will accrue on appeal.

Section 15-5-65 Disposition of proceeds. (a) Unless by other agreement of the primary law enforcement
agency and the prosecutorial entity, the proceeds from any forfeiture shall be used, first,
for payment of all proper expenses of the proceedings for forfeiture and sale, including expenses
of seizure, maintenance of or custody, advertising, prosecution, and court costs. The remaining

Restorative Justice Initiative; violations of terms or conditions. (a) An offender who enters

Section 12-19-25 Applicability. (a) The increase in fees provided in this act shall in no instance
operate to increase the municipal share of the docket fees collected in municipal ordinance
cases in the district and circuit courts; any provision of the law to the contrary notwithstanding.
