Section 45-10-170 Enforcement. (a) The Cherokee County Health Department may, at its discretion, enforce littering laws, and other laws relating to litter in Cherokee County, in addition to health laws and regulations governing the control and disposal of solid waste in Cherokee County, and shall be empowered with the authority of peace officers as defined by state law for the purpose of enforcing such laws. Section 45-11-247.06 Charge for collection; trust account. The department shall charge Chilton County for collecting the tax levied under this part in an amount or percentage of total collections as may be agreed upon by the commissioner and the Chilton County Commission. The charge shall not exceed five percent of the total amount of the tax collected in the county. The charge may be deducted each month from the gross revenues from the tax before certification of the amount of the proceeds due Chilton County for that month. Section 45-4-83.07 Costs and fees. (a) An applicant may be assessed a fee when the applicant is approved for the program. The amount of the assessment for participation in the program shall be in addition to any court costs and assessments for victims or drug, alcohol, or anger management treatment required by law, and are in addition to costs of supervision, treatment, and restitution for which the person may be responsible.
