Section 13A-11-72 Certain persons forbidden to possess pistol. (a) No person who has been convicted
in this state or elsewhere of committing or attempting to commit a crime of violence, misdemeanor
offense of domestic violence, violent offense as listed in Section 12-25-32(15), anyone who
is subject to a valid protection order for domestic abuse, or anyone of unsound mind shall
own a firearm or have one in his or her possession or under his or her control. (b) No person
who is a minor, except under the circumstances provided in this section, a drug addict, or
an habitual drunkard shall own a pistol or have one in his or her possession or under his

Section 45-9-243.40 Privilege or license tax. (a) The following words, terms, and phrases,
when used in this section, shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this subsection, except
where the context clearly indicates a different meaning: (1) PERSON. Any natural person, firm,

Section 16-28B-3 Definitions. The following terms have the following meanings: (1) BULLYING.
A continuous pattern of intentional behavior that takes place on or off of school property,
on a school bus, or at a school-sponsored function including, but not limited to, cyberbullying
or written, electronic, verbal, or physical acts that are reasonably perceived as being motivated
by any characteristic of a student, or by the association of a student with an individual
who has a particular characteristic, if the characteristic falls into one of the categories
of personal characteristics contained in the model policy adopted by the department or by
a local board, and implemented at each school. To constitute bullying, a pattern of behavior
may do any of the following: a. Place a student in reasonable fear of harm to his or her person

Section 32-5A-195 Cancellation, suspension, or revocation of driver's license; grounds, procedure,
etc. (a) The Secretary of the Alabama State Law Enforcement Agency is authorized to cancel
any driver's license upon determining that the licensee was not entitled to the issuance thereof
or that the licensee failed to give the correct or required information in his or her application.
Upon such cancellation, the licensee must surrender the license so cancelled. If the licensee
refuses to surrender the license, he or she shall be guilty of a misdemeanor. (b) The privilege
of driving a motor vehicle on the highways of this state given to a nonresident shall be subject

Section 12-25-32 Definitions. For the purposes of this article, the following terms have the
following meanings: (1) COMMISSION. The Alabama Sentencing Commission, established as a state
agency under the Supreme Court by this chapter. (2) CONTINUUM OF PUNISHMENTS. An array of

Section 30-5-7 Ex parte orders or modification of protection order. (a) If it appears from
a petition for a protection order or a petition to modify a protection order that abuse has
occurred or from a petition for a modification of a protection order that a modification is
