Section 45-11-100 Composition of board; elections (a) Beginning with the election in 2006, and thereafter, the Chilton County Board of Education shall be composed of five members. Each member of the board shall reside within Chilton County during his or her entire term of office. Each member of the board shall be elected by place number by a majority of the qualified electors of the county at-large voting in the election. (b) The appropriate election officials shall conduct elections of members of the Chilton County Board of Education in conformity with this article and members elected to the board shall take office in the same manner as currently provided by law.
