Section 41-21-5 Vesting of title to sets of code; duty of officers, employees, etc., of state as to disposition of sets of code in custody thereof upon severance of connection with offices, etc.; effect of failure to dispose of code in manner prescribed by section. Except those sets of codes distributed to members of the Legislature and the Lieutenant Governor, the title to all of the sets of the annotated code, the distribution of which to officers and offices of the state and the several counties and municipalities thereof is provided for in this chapter, shall forever remain in the State of Alabama and said sets shall never become the personal property of any person or corporation, however long they shall have had possession thereof. Section 15-6-40 Appeal to circuit court; form of undertaking on appeal. (a) Any person required to keep the peace under the provisions of Article 2 of this chapter by any judge other than a judge of an appellate or circuit court is entitled, on entering into an undertaking with sufficient sureties in a sum equal to that required of him to keep the peace for the prosecution of an appeal and in the meantime to keep the peace, to an appeal to the circuit court of the county. (a) The commissioner may conduct examinations of warrantors, administrators, or other persons to enforce this chapter and protect warranty holders in this state.
