(a) The board of trustees may perform the following functions: (1) Accept donations, bequests, or other forms of financial assistance for educational purposes from any public or private person or agency and comply with rules and regulations governing grants from the federal government or from any other person or agency, which are not in contravention of the constitution and laws. (2) Purchase or lease real estate and equipment and make improvements to facilities necessary for the use of the school, in accordance with applicable law. (3) Lease land or other property belonging to the board of trustees or to the school. Section 22-27-10 Control of unauthorized dumping; open burning; construction with other rights and remedies. (a) Solid waste shall be collected, transported, disposed, managed, or any combination thereof, according to the requirements of this article, and the rules of the department or the health department, as authorized by this article, and if disposed of in this state, shall be disposed in a permitted landfill or permitted incineration, or reduced in volume through composting, materials recovery, or other existing or future means approved by and according to the requirements of the department, under authorities granted by this article. (a) There is created and established a State Board of Midwifery to implement and administer this chapter. (a) District management corporations shall be incorporated under the Alabama Nonprofit Corporation Act (Chapter 3A of Title 10) and shall exercise their powers in a manner consistent with such act.
