Section 8-22-4 Definitions. The following terms shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section unless otherwise stated and unless the context or subject matter clearly indicates otherwise: (1) PERSON. Any person, firm, association, organization, partnership, business trust, joint stock company, company, corporation, or legal entity. (2) MOTOR FUEL. Those products upon which the state excise tax levied, or defined, in Sections 40-17-1 through 40-17-52 and 40-17-170, as amended, is imposed. (3) WHOLESALER. Includes any person qualified as a wholesaler of motor fuel with the state Revenue Commissioner, and shall also mean and include any person, other than a buying pool defined herein, wherever resident or located, who brings or causes to be brought into this state motor fuel purchased directly from the manufacturer thereof. Section 41-22-16 Form and content of final order; when final order to be rendered; service of notice and copies of final order. (a) The provisions of this chapter concerning contested cases shall apply to the grant, denial, revocation, suspension, or renewal of a license. Section 6-6-77 Sale of property levied on where perishable or expensive to keep. (a) If the property levied on is perishable or if the expense of keeping is great, it must be sold by order of the court, on motion of either party, and the proceeds of sale retained by the sheriff to await the decision of the case, unless the court otherwise directs. (a) The court must require a conservator to furnish a bond payable to the judge of probate conditioned upon faithful discharge of all duties of the trust according to law, with sureties as it shall specify. (a) Effective January 1, 1998, it shall be unlawful for any person or business entity to engage in a business regulated by this chapter in this state without a current valid license or in violation of this chapter and applicable rules and regulations of the board.
