Section 45-44-150.02 Compensation and expenses of commission members. Commencing on June 1, 1996, the basic compensation of each member of the racing commission shall be two thousand five hundred dollars ($2,500) per month. One member of the racing commission shall be required to be in attendance at the racetrack for each racing performance consisting of a designated number of races, although up to three members of the racing commission may be present for each performance. If a matinee performance consisting of a designated number of races and an evening performance consisting of a designated number of races occur on the same day, the matinee performance and the evening performance shall be deemed separate performances for purposes of compensating members of the racing commission for their attendance.
