Section 41-9-85.7 Powers of Securities Commission under this division. (a) The Securities
Commission, or any person designated by the Securities Commission, may do any of the following:
(1) Make public or private investigations, within or outside of the state, as deemed necessary
to aid in the enforcement of this division. (2) Require or permit any person to file a statement
in writing, under oath or otherwise, as the Security Commission may determine, as to all facts
and circumstances relating to the matter being investigated. (3) Publish information concerning
a violation of this division. (4) Administer oaths and affirmations, subpoena witnesses, compel
attendance, take evidence, and require the production of any books, papers, correspondence,

Section 27-61-1 Surplus Lines Insurance Multi-State Compliance Compact. The Surplus
Lines Insurance Multi-State Compliance Compact Act is enacted into law and entered into with
all jurisdictions mutually adopting the compact in the form substantially as follows: PREAMBLE
WHEREAS, with regard to Non-Admitted Insurance policies with risk exposures located in multiple
states, the 111th United States Congress has stipulated in Title V, Subtitle B, the Non-Admitted

Section 34-27-68 Commission may seek injunctive relief, etc., for violation of article;
investigation; revocation of registration. (a) If it appears that a person, firm, corporation,
or any business entity has engaged, or is about to engage, in an act or practice constituting
a violation of a provision of this article or rule or order of the commission, the commission,
through the Attorney General, may institute legal actions to enjoin the act or practice and
to enforce compliance with this article or any rule or order of the commission or to have

Section 27-9A-17 Fingerprints. (a) In order to make a determination of license eligibility,
the commissioner may require fingerprints of applicants and to submit the fingerprints and
the fee required to perform the criminal history record checks to the Alabama Department of
Public Safety and the Federal Bureau of Investigation for state and national criminal history
record checks. (b) The commissioner may require a criminal history record check on each applicant
in accordance with this section. The commissioner shall require each applicant to submit
