Section 41-9-709 Purpose. The purpose of this commission shall be to deal fairly and effectively
with Indian affairs; to bring local, state, federal resources into focus for the implementation
or continuation of meaningful programs for Indian citizens of the State of Alabama; to provide
aid for Indians as needs demonstrate; to assist Indian communities in social and economic
development; to promote recognition of the right of Indians to pursue cultural and religious
traditions considered by them to be sacred and meaningful to the American Indian; and to establish

Section 31-14-3 Creation; composition; meetings; compensation; powers and duties. (a) There
is created the Alabama Job Creation and Military Stability Commission. Members of the commission

Section 9-16-73 Surface Mining Commission - Creation; composition; officers; compensation;
meetings; offices; funds; removal of members. (a) There is continued as previously established
the Alabama Surface Mining Reclamation Commission under the name of the Alabama Surface Mining
Commission for the purpose of transition in implementing and enforcing this article and carrying

to the judge of probate or license commissioner, compliance with motor vehicle registration
and licensing laws, payment of regular fees required by law for license plates for private

Section 32-6-70 Issuance of special tags. Owners of motor vehicles who are residents of the
State of Alabama and who hold valid amateur radio station or citizen's band radio licenses
issued by the Federal Communications Commission, upon application, accompanied by proof of
ownership of such amateur radio station or citizen's band radio license, complying with the
state motor vehicle laws relating to registration and licensing of motor vehicles, and upon

Section 45-49-30.03 Composition. (a) The commission shall be composed of seven members, five
of whom shall be Choctaw Indians residing in Mobile County. The two additional members may

Section 11-49B-6 Board of directors. (a) Each authority shall be governed by a board of directors.
All powers of the authority shall be exercised by the board or pursuant to its authorization.

Section 41-9-952 Annual meeting; quorum; organization and procedure; seal; elections; treasurer
