Section 16-17-7 Powers of authority. Section 39-2-12 Partial and final payments of contractors by awarding authorities. (a) As used in this section the following words shall have the meanings ascribed to them as follows: (1) CONTRACTOR. (a) In the discretion of the board of directors of an authority, any bonds may be secured by an indenture between an authority and a trustee, which may be any trust company or bank having trust powers, whether such trust company or bank is located within or without the state. The authority is authorized and empowered to issue its bonds from time to time for the purpose of making equipment loans to finance equipment costs incurred or to be incurred by educational institutions.
